- Assar Lindbeck Medal 2021 to Erik Lindqvist and Robert Östling 2021-12-14 The award honors IIES Professor Assar Lindbeck's diverse and pioneering economic research efforts and is awarded biannually to researchers active in Sweden under the age of 45 who have made a significant contribution to economic thinking and economic knowledge.
- Arash Nekoei granted tenure 2021-12-10 Arash first joined the IIES in 2014. His research focuses on labor and public economics, in particular unemployment, immigration and inequality.
- Swedish Corona Commission delivers its second report 2021-10-29 IIES Professor Torsten Persson is a member of the Swedish Government's "Corona Commission" who today released their second partial report on how the Swedish government, the relevant administrative authorities, the regions and municipalities have handled the pandemic.
