IIES Professor John Hassler explains the "SNS Economic Policy Council Report 2020: Swedish Policy for Global Climate" to PJ Anders Linder at Studio Axess (in Swedish).

Swedish climate policy has high ambitions, but the efficiency leaves a lot to be desired. This according to Professor John Hassler, chairman of the SNS Economic Policy Council, who recently published the report "Swedish Policy for Global Climate".

Sweden must be aware that certain policies for reducing emissions in our own country may lead to an increase in emissions abroad. The tough demands on the transport sector are one such example. Swedish policy should also have a more positive attitude to so-called supplementary measures: capture, storage in forests, contributions to measures in other countries.
