50% of Sweden's CO2 emissions come from 27 industrial plants. If the plants are equipped with a technology called CCS, the emissions could be captured and stored. IIES Professor John Hassler in Aftonbladet on the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology to reduce emissions.
According to Hassler, several of the government's climate measures could be scrapped if money is transferred to CCS technology instead.
"There are many small things that get a lot of attention. Bonus Malus, the Climate Leap, industrial life and projects like charging posts. All that could be more or less ironed out" he says.
