Mathias Iwanowsky received his Undergraduate degree at the University of Mannheim in 2010 and obtained his Masters degree from the Goethe University of Frankfurt in 2012. The academic year 2015-2016 he spent at Harvard University. Mathias' research focuses on the political economy of less-developed countries. His work encompasses topics in development and political economics on the assigning of property rights in the United States, ethnic partitioning in Africa, the political legacy of mass killings in Cambodia, and the impact of school reforms in Cambodia. He often uses high resolution spatial data, some digitized for the first time specifically for the projects you find on his website.
