Max is a visiting graduate student at the IIES. He obtained his Master in Economics from the Paris School of Economics and he is currently a forth-year PhD candidate at the European University Institute. Before starting his PhD, he worked as an economist at the Riksbank and as a research assistant at the European Central Bank. Max's research interest lies between Macroeconomics and Industrial Organization. He is especially interested in the effects of major trends such as the aging of the population and the introduction of new technologies on firms strategies and their macroeconomic implications.
